it’s not to joke..I hate stupid people laughing her…she could be a really nice girl…but society is stupid, getting fun of similar girls
I’m 16 and I have to deal with that…the laughing/making fun of me has gotten worse since I am in high school but hopefully eventually those people will grow up and get a life.

I’m doing my homework for my upcoming IVF cycle and I’m nervous about my transfer. My doctor said that once the embryos are transfered they’re going to want me to lay down for a while and are going to use a catheter to drain my bladder? Is it going where I think it’s going? Won’t that hurt, it’s a pretty small opening?
Yes, it’s going where you think it’s going. It’s not painful, only slightly uncomfortable. Good luck!
I drink lots and lots of water, but I have my driving exam in 3 hours which will take 2 hours, so I can’t go to the toilet for 2 hours. If i stop drinking now, will my bladder be empty in 3 hours?
yes
I am considering breast augmentation next month and I was diagnosed with MVP back in 2002. Will this effect anything?
Consult a cardiologist before undergoing cosmetic surgery. In the past, some people with mitral valve prolapse were given antibiotics before certain dental or surgical procedures to help prevent an infection called bacterial endocarditis (BE). However, the American Heart Association no longer recommends routine antibiotics before dental procedures or other surgical procedures for patients with only mitral valve prolapse, unless they have had bacterial endocarditis in the past.
My daughter has been diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse is it safe to take the H1N1 vaccine?

Is it safe for her to have the H1N1 vaccine?
Yes, if she has a chronic health condition she would be a priority. She should get the shot, not the mist as the mist is only given to people without chronic health conditions.
Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP) is a heart defect that can be repaired either by laser surgery (non-open surgery) or by open surgery. How much does this cost with or without insurance. I hope to get insurance soon. Is a heart murmur repairable?
Mitral Valve Repair Surgeons & Hospitals in India
India has gained a name for high tech medical surgeries & it is now quite comment for many in the west to consider mitral valve prolapse repair in India. Many of the surgeon have returned to India from training in leading centers in the USA 7 UK.
India’s leading cardiologists and cardo-thoracic surgeons combined with adoption of the latest technology have given it the edge over other competing medical tourism destinations in case of heart surgeries. Of course, needless to say, it is also the most affordable.
With skyrocketing costs of medical care in the US, going abroad for heart surgery is becoming very common. The cost of mitral valve repair in the US can be anywhere between $40,000 – $200,000. The same procedure in India can be done for about $10,000.

I am 40 and had a tubal ligation in 1995. I had a bladder infection in september and have not had my period for two months. Is this normal?
Most likely you are perimenopausal. The antibiotic shouldn’t have stopped your period. But did you know that bladder infections become more common as a woman enters menopause? It’s one of the signs I guess. I know because I am 41. I too had real regular periods but then got an UTI. Since then, my cycles have been very long ( a 35 day cycle, and now to 45 day cycles). I have a lot of other perimenopausal signs as well. It’s just our age.
Our Saint Bernard is TERRIFIED of water for no reason and we worry about infection… what can we do?
11 Nov 2009
Our Saint Bernard puppy is overflowing with a medical issue that causes urinary incontinence. He pees on himself in his sleep occasionally (he’s gotten better at holding it for short periods of time) but he ALWAYS drips. I have to clean his dog bed and our floors constantly due to him dripping wherever he lays down and as he walks. It is also bloody… but this isn’t a problem I need advice on anymore.
Because of this incontinence, and him always dripping and sitting in his own urine, you can imagine the horrid smell and just foul state he would be in… I feel bad for him. The problem we’re having though is that he is absolutely 100% terrified of water. He has been with us since he was 9 weeks old and has never been given any reason to be afraid of water in his time with us. He is almost 7 months old and 80 lbs now and expected to be 150+ pounds full-grown.
He will not go near his dish while we fill it with water, he runs from me whenever i mop, he cowers in the side of the yard if the sprinkler is on or if we are watering the rose bushes. He leaves the room if we turn on the sink, dishwasher or washing machine. He never goes into a bathroom. If water in not 100% still he will not go near it.
So our problem is this: He needs a bath. He ALWAYS needs a bath due to his condition but we’re so afraid of traumatizing him with the water. It’s really a catch 22… he had an exploratory surgery to diagnose his condition, and is sewn up… the urine and blood festering on his wound is just NOT healthy. I clean him with a rag and hydrogen peroxide often but he needs more than that.
What can I do to help him get over his fear? We’ve tried playing in it with him to show him it’s fun and safe… we tried playing with him in a lake once but he wouldn’t even step into the water. He refuses. What can we do??
We have a cat and he has bath issues too… not that helpful. but thanks…
In a situation as yours, I would speak to the Vet about the possibilities of a sedative AND taking him to a professional groomer. (and I don’t mean a place like Petsmart or Petco) Maybe after a few times of doing this, he will get more use to it. (desensitizing the issue)
I had a hysterectomy just over six yrs ago and was told a prolapse was not possible.
I have managed to convice myself that I have one as things are not right down there…!!!!!!!!
I feel if im carrying extra baggage if u know wot I mean.
Margaret
You can’t have a prolapsed womb because you don’t have one, but you can have a prolapsed bladder. (Only know because a relative had this problem years after having a hysterectomy). Talk to the doctor about it and have the discomfort investigated. Good luck.
What tests will they do?
They will do what is known as a rectal exam. They will put on rubber gloves and stick a finger up your butt.
