   Hello, Could you please explain to me what is going on in this video. Did you have cervical ADR surgery and the disc failed? How are you doing now? The reason I am asking is beacuse I need a two level lumber ADR surgery and am lookin for a surgon. I would like to go to Europe to have the proceedure done but dont think I will have the funds. Thanks for any info you can spare. ERIC

   and why is it every time I fix a case a “disc” case the patient ends up exclaiming, “that’s it, that’s my problem.”

   this is the holy grail of what doctors look for in examination and tests like discography.

   sorry, tx is short for treatment.

   yes, I could have done better. your success is the exception and not the rule. (and I’m very happy for you.) it’s also been shown that surgery is most successful on the young whose muscles are at their most resilient and able to compensate. perhaps they cut through part of the pattern causing your pain. look at the big picture, the facts on discs make no sense. and why doesn’t it work so well on everyone?

   sorry i do not understand the medical terms you are using. remember you are talking to a lay man here. what is TX? and i dont think you answered my question. the disc between c3/c4 was where i was operated. i felt instant relief post OP and i would be interested to know if you could have done better without invassive surgery.

    if your condition is musculoskeletal, what is currently diagnosed as a disc, arthritis, stenosis, bone spur etc., and you are otherwise healthy, yes, absolutely. I dare you to find a better tx. the more you been around and tried everything else, the more you can appreciate.

    what I can’t cure is back pain from a systemic source, ie., fibromyalgia. in this case tx offers relief but does not cure.

    dr. bronk, i watched your videos on the theories on lower back pain with great interest. i’m a great believer in improving what we consider to be true/the norm. Not sure if you missed a point here thou. my pain was on my neck. both my arms degenerated over time and worsened. could your lower back theory apply to my case too?

    it’s because they are operating on a flawed premise. they don’t tell you the whole story, cause if they did you’d never have surgery. truth is, the facts on discs make no sense. very understandable how we have arrived at this thinking however, and currently they have nothing better to replace it with. check out my book: Disc Shmisc – a more accurate model of back pain. on amazon. or check out my website.

Pre OP consultations was so reassurin i was relaxed considering the severity and the post OP consultations was the icing on the cake. really sorry to hear about your back hope you get better soon and possibly return to your drumming. sounds like good fun.
