While most think that it is the middle-aged or elderly female that deal with incontinence, I have had patients as young as the early 20s have incontinence issues (usually an after-effect of childbearing).

As a good number of women prefer to avoid surgical intervention (which sometimes is only temporarily effective), I have encouraged my patients to perform kegel exercises with the use of a vaginal weight or cone to treat incontinence. However, although I provide a print-out with instructions, most of still wary of using the vaginal weight or cone as it seems unfamilar to most.

I recently printed out information on Indeprime (& RootLock) and gave it to a patient who was especially nervous about performing kegels with a vaginal cone/weight. She exclaimed in surprise, “There is actually an exercise video that addresses this?” Her nervousness immediately disappeared and she stated, “Now I feel much more confident about these exercises being effective knowing that there is a entire video to follow”.

As I health care provider, I am very happy that you have given women who deal with incontinence another avenue of treating this problem. It definitely enables women to regain their confidence & dignity, as well as the feeling of youth & health.

Der Musculus urethralis (Harnröhrenmuskel) ist ein quergestreifter Muskel an der Harnröhre (Urethra). Der sogenannte künstliche Schließmuskel (artifizieller Sphinkter) ist ein Kunststoffsystem, welches aus 3 Komponenten besteht.
1. dem Flüssigkeitsreservoir
2. der Pumpe
3. der Harnröhrendruckmanschette

Das Reservoir ist ein Silikonballon, welcher mit einer Flüssigkeit gefüllt wird. Er wird in die Bauchhöhle eingepflanzt. Die Pumpe wird in den Hodensack operiert und mit Schlauchverbindungen an das Reservoir und die Druckmanschette angeschlossen. Die Harnröhrendruckmanschette sieht aus wie eine miniaturisierte Blutdruck- manschette, sie kann über einen Schlauch mit Hilfe der Pumpe mit Flüssigkeit aus dem Reservoir gefüllt werden und drückt so die Harnröhre ab. Die Druckmanschette wird um die hintere Harnröhre gelegt, die zu diesem Zwecke freipräpariert wird.Wenn alle Schlauchverbindungen hergestellt sind, wird die Haut wieder verschlossen, sodass alle Teile im Körper versenkt sind. Die beiden Schnitte der Operation liegen 1 x in der Leiste und der 2. im Bereiche des Damms, also zwischen Hodensack und Anus.

An artificial sphincter is used when your urinary sphincter stops working. The artificial sphincter is made up of three parts: a cuff, a balloon, and a pump. The cuff is shaped like a donut and fits around your urethra below the bladder
neck. The cuff is filled with fluid. It puts just enough pressure on the urethra to allow your bladder to hold your urine. The balloon holds the fluid that fills the cuff. The balloon is about the size of a ping-pong ball and is
placed in your body behind your pubic bone. The pump is implanted in your scrotum. You squeeze it to empty the fluid from the cuff into the balloon. This allows the urethra to open so you can urinate.
